Winter Academy

Open to travel and recreational players from all clubs.

Methacton United is proud to announce our 8-session Winter Academy, an off-season training program featuring instruction from Methacton United Director of Coaching, Andy Wilkes. The fees for the Winter and Spring Academies were included in the registration fee for all U9 and above Travel players. Travel players are requested to update your availability on your team TeamSnap account. Non-travel players will need to register on the website for Winter Academy.

Attire Teams who are training at Lower Providence Presbyterian Church and Penn Christian Academy should wear their soccer training uniforms, shin guards, and futsal shoes or flat sole sneakers.

Teams who are training at All Sports Center should wear their soccer training uniforms, shin guards, and cleats.

No need to bring a ball, but be sure to bring water bottles to stay hydrated!
When the time comes, register here ~ sessions start in January.

The periodized curriculum for this seasons 8-session program stresses the following technical and tactical elements of our game, all within the positive, healthy, and progressive environment your players have become accustomed to:

  • Attacking 1v1 and 2v1

  • Defending 1v1 and 2v2
  • Shooting and Finishing
  • Building from the Back
